The social change demanded of the times is a pressing one, requiring a structural shift embracing every sphere of human life. The approach of Santhigiri Ashram to human issues is all inclusive and inter-penetrating.
The Santhigiri Social Research Institute (SSRI), located at Pothencode, through its social action research activities strives to create a model social apparatus for disseminating Guru's message to the masses and to study its efficacy in the families adopting the Guru's way (Guru Margam).
Research is being undertaken into other related social issues and concerns also.
