Santhigiri and New Medical Center (NMC) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to start an Ayurvedic hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The hospital will be started in Dubai Healthcare City. The MoU was signed by Mr.James Joseph, Chief Administrative Officer, Santhigiri and Padmasree B.R.Shetty, Chairman, NMC in the graceful presence of His Grace Swami Gurumithran Jnana Thapaswi.
“The healing touch of Ayurveda, which was blossomed in the lap of spirituality, will be a solace for the immigrants in the Middle East who are suffering from life style disorders”, Swami said during the occasion. Padmasree B.R.Shetty said that it is a proud for NMC, who initiated a new era of healthcare in UAE, to associate with Santhigiri, an institution totally dedicated for charitable activities. He shared the hope that, this shall be the beginning of more elaborated projects associating with Santhigiri.
The proposal of an associated project was put forward by Mr.Shetty during the Conference on Middle East Health and Research conducted on September 10, 2010, as a part of Parnasala Dedication at Santhigiri.
Advanced facilities including In Patient treatments will be available at a rate affordable for common man will available in the proposed hospital which is expected to start functioning by first quarter of next year.
