The Vahankanthi workshop takes care of the Ashram's vehicles including heavy vehicles such as buses, trucks and cranes
The unit, which started functioning in 1985-86, shifted to a new location in the Siddha Hospital complex in 2003.
It undertakes body building works also besides the repair and upkeep of the Ashram vehicles.
The skilled mechanics of this unit are able to work on a wide range of vehicle makes such as Leyland, Tata, Eicher, Mahindra, Swaraj Mazda etc.
A Diesel Pump was started in the Vahankanthi premises in 2004. A Petrol Pump is also proposed to be started and the preliminary work for the same has been started.
