With the guidance of Guru, the production of soaps was started by Santhigiri Herbal Soaps in 1997 to maintain the cleanliness of the human body. Later, a number of other detergent and washing products were added to the list for the upkeep of hygienic surroundings.
'Charma Mahima', a herbal soap based on the goodness of 'tulasi' (basil), was the first product to be introduced by this unit. The rich-lathering soap made with pure coconut oil was widely accepted for its medicinal value in the cure of skin problems.
Later, a jasmine perfumed soap by the name 'Charma Sudhi' was introduced to meet the market demand.
